winchester and martinsburg mostly mid-40s right here around town. nice weather f today. today will be the better of the outdooreather day as high pressure centered down across the carolinas in charge of our weather for the remainder of saturday this weather front is coming down through the area tonig and into tomorrow on the other side of that front slightly cooler air mass and as this air of high pressure heads to the new england coastline that east to northeasterly wind flow will introduce more in the way of cloud cover. tomorrow starts off with sunshine but the day will become mostly cloudy and temperatures will hold tomorrow in the upper 40s and low 50s whereas today we're up to close to 60 degrees. that cold snap won't last long. a big warming trend by monday morning. that big bubble of warm airputs us back to 60s on monday and 70 degrees on tuesday. tuesday afternoon the rain chances come back. today mostly sunny and please. today is the beau of a day to get outside and enjoy it. sun goes down at 4:51. fredericksburg, stafford, spotsylvania might bet to 60 degrees.

it's chilly outside. 34 at dulles, 39 at frederick. 42 for winchester. 44 at the nation's capitol. 42 at baltimore. and chilly 33 for boston. and 39 degrees for new york city. so there is a lot of colder air that will start to filter into our region as we move into the extended period. in the meantime, this morning, as i mentioned, some of you seeing patchy fog. clouds on the increase. a little bit of an easterly flow. moisture pushing in from the atlantic. we'll see the clouds during the course of the day and sunny breaks in there. and we'll end up with a ms. day which won't be bad. and there is a frontal system to the west of us and that will gradually push toward us and as it does, as you can see by tuesday this is where we'll start to see a period of rainfall begin that will stick around right through thanksgiving. so we're not talking heavy widespread rain any more everywhere but we are talking some rain that you'll have to deal with. this is a frontal system, a second one that will start moving closer to us and we'll get more rainfall from that on thursday. cold air on the back

the winds northwest at 12 and some gusts to 21 in manassas, 20 cambridge. 20 winchester. so we have pockets of those gusty winds and that's going to be the case. there are three storms on the map. there's one in the rockies with snow. a new one in the northwest some in the mid-atlantic. this storm has been a monster. one in main and another through the cape there, martha's vineyard, nantucket. this is far enough away from us so that other than the winds we are not affected by it. the other problem with the storm, while keeping us cool it is not allowing high pressure and warmer temperatures to move in quickly. the next few days we will stay with a northernly flow. the storm by midnight is still slow to move out. it has been here a couple of days. fine through midday and the afternoon and evening. and here's high pressure as we head to veteran's day. if this is over us and the winds are light we won't warm up as much. in good shape the next couple of days. the highs today, low 60s in town. stay in the mid to upper 50s along the bay. we have shot past these to the low 60s.
